A web site, The Inquirer described that the picture of the iPad 3 was visible in the invitation email. “Fortunately the clue is in the picture, and from what we can see, it is a picture of a very shiny looking Ipad 3. So unless this is the launch of a brand of polish for Apple Ipad screens, we can only assume that it is the invitation to the release of the third tablet in the series,” The inquirer stated.

The details of the invitation did not specifically state the debut of the iPad 3 but it does show an image of a hand touching the iPad’s Calendar app icon for March 7, together with a simple message, “We have something you really have to see. And touch.”

The launch’s venue will stick to Apple’s previous two iPads launch events, which is at the (YBCA) Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco.

Apple’s invitation was first reported by Wall Street Journal and ultimately confirmed the rumor of the unveiling first put forward by the website imore.

A spring launch of what many believe to be the iPad 3 would fall in line with the timing for the first two generations of Apple tablets.

The rumor of the US launch on March 7th is now confirmed and the European launch speculated to be on March 23rd should also hold some truth in it. From there onwards, we should see the iPad 3 being shipped to the rest of the world.
