Google Nexus tablet is due to be released at the end of June
According to a report by itproportal, two notable tech companies – Asus and Google announced that they will be working together to develop a new Google Nexus tablet, a representative from Asus confirmed recently.
The representative said that the tablet that yet to be released as “awesome” and will be launched at the end of June.
The device that has received a lot of speculation lately could be a 7-inch tablet that will be manufactured by Asus. Speculations states that it will be powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, the same CPU powering the Asus Prime Transformer and Tablet 600 tablet/laptop hybrid.
The tablet is also expected to be equipped with 1GB of RAM, a screen resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and runs an updated version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or perhaps the next generation Android OS – Android 5.0 Jelly Bean.
Leaked images of the tablet revealed an elegant device with a two-tone finish.
The price is rumored to be in the range of $ 150 – $ 250 (£ 95 – £ 160). The relatively low price is deemed to be a strategic move to compete with other brands, especially Apple’s iPad.
