Intel to launch StudyBook tablets for emerging markets
Digitimes reported on Tuesday that the giant chipmaker, Intel is to produce as well as to promote a tablet PC codenamed StudyBook targeting sales on emerging markets.

The tablet is reported to be capable of dual operating system both Windows and Android. Intel is focusing sales for this device to emerging markets such as China and Brazil, according to industry sources. The StudyBook tablet PC is expected to be release in second half of 2012.
Intel plans to market the StudyBook tablet PC both in the educational sector and also on the regular market and is priced below US$299.
Intel’s partner and OEM manufacturer for the ClassMate PC, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) is to manufacture the StudyBook for Intel as well as a China-based firm, Malata which has also received tablet PC orders from Intel.
Meanwhile, both Intel and Lenovo are reported to have launched a10.1-inch ClassMate PC powered by Atom N2600 and Windows 7 for the Argentine market. It is priced at US$300 to US$400. Intel has also received orders for the ClassMate PC from the region for about 158,000 units.
