Microsoft offers free tickets to its Windows Phone party at MWC
Microsoft, the software giant announced recently that it will be giving away free tickets to its Mobile World Congress party in Barcelona. The MWC which is focusing on phone and tablet devices will start next week.
Microsoft reported, “If you’re headed to the show, we’re handing out 50 passes to our party as a thank you to our biggest Windows Phone fans.”
Unfortunately, the ticket only covers for the party and exclude expenses for flights, hotel and so forth. To win the ticket, you need to write something special about the Windows Phone through a comment on their blog. The winner will be announced on Wednesday.
According to the Windows Phone blog, “winners will be able to mingle with some Windows Phone big wigs, pepper us with questions, and try out our phones.”
There were some entries with very down to earth note, such as Denny French who remarked, “I got a Windows Mobile phone years ago and decided that I love the OS. When I heard about the “New” Windows Phone, I only knew it would be an improvement. I love the fact that it syncs with Exchange super easy and with skydrive and MS Office (mobile) I can edit and create new documents for work.
The easy to use UI is a great refeshing difference than what the iOS and Android have. Overall, the WP7 (Mango) has been a very enjoyable experience when using the phone for everything from taking pictures to working on Word docuemts or Excel.
I wil lhave to admit that I haven’t gotten into really messing with music or playlists yet, but I will ge there soon.
Just want to say that when everyone in my office thought I was crazy to get a Windows Phone (they are all Android users) I still have new things to show them on my phone and they are impressed… Unfortunaetly they will not change since they are hard core users who have rooted their phone and have networking tools (which I wish I had and if I did, that would make my phone complete) that get used on a regular basis.”
Some went simple with entering only a few words such as tylermcferson, who wrote “Oh mighty Microsoft, please pick me!
”
Among phone makers that will adopt the Windows Phone operating system are Nokia’s Lumia range of smartphones, LG and possibly Motorola and Lenovo. Good luck to the winners!
