Samsung unveils affordable Star 3 and Star 3 Duos
Samsung once again announced that it would be unveiling its latest smart phones – the Samsung Star 3 and Star 3 Duos. According to some sources, these were upgrades from the previous Samsung Star 2 phones. The phones were targeted to low-end users with price expected to be within the range of RM350 to RM400.
Samsung Star 3 and Star Duos will feature the following:
- 3.0 inch TFT touchscreen display with 256K colors
- 240 x 320 pixels screen resolution
- TouchWiz Lite UI v2.0
- 3.5mm audio jack
- 20 MB internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB
- 3.15 megapixel camera
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
- Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP
- GPRS
- EDGE
- MP3/WAV/WMA/AAC+ player
- H.263/H.264/MP4 player
- Document viewer
- Java
- SNS integration
- Predictive text input
- Accelerometer sensor
- WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML browser
- Li-Ion 1000 mAh standard battery
- Stereo FM radio with RDS
According to phonearena, the Samsung Star Duos specifications are similar to the Star 3 but it feature two sim card slots. Basically it is a phone almost identical to Star 2 with a few exceptions such as a ChatON experience added, a music player with SoundAlive and an FM radio with RDS.
