A blogger friend chegu carol commenting on my previous post inquired why we didn’t use timadang (Tarap) leaves instead of the yam. Thinking of this, I began to smile to myself. I decided to write an entry pertaining to this matter. Let me explain one by one….
If we had opted for the timadang leaves, this would come first:
Timandang trees are popular amongst fire ants (laga, kerengga). They like to make their nest on the sturdy leaves. Interesting enough, if provoked, they really like to attack the private parts first.
If you would cover both the front and back, it will be difficult to move. Whenever you try to walk the part of your front or bottom would touch the rough surface of the leaves and this will be extremely painful (the surface of timadang leaves is as rough as sand paper). The best option would be to hop your way home.
And finally you will have bruises both at the bottom part as well as the front part, in which the most sensitive piece would be the most painful. Heeeeeeeeee…

I can't stop laughing after reading your post. Let's hope one day you don't miss ur underwear.. otherwise when you can't get the yam leaves, you gonna opt for the timadang leaves.. *ouch*.. Hehehe..
